What causes white discharge during pregnancy ? Is it normal or does it pose health risks ?
hello sir, my wife 6 months pragnant and now se is facing a problem i.e white bleeding from the vagina from the stating of pragnancy, but just from three days back it becomes more bleeding and itching in the vagina area. So, sir, pliz tell me whwther it good or bad or is there any problem during her pragnancy. And how to prevent it. thanks.

She is most likely having white discharge.
If it is odourless, watery in consistency, then there is nothing to worry. In pregnancy there may be slightly more discharge. This discharge will cause itching. Ask her to regularly clean the area with water, preferably with some antiseptic solution added to water such as Savalon, which is available in all medical shops.
If the discharge is foul smelling , yellowish green in colour or thick white curd like, then you should consult a gynecologist who will have to examine and treat accordingly.
Of course leaking of amniotic fluid has to be also ruled out.

White discharge in pregnancy can be due to vaginal infections due to candid a or other type of fungus as they are common in pregnancy so your wife needs to get treated for that.As for the bleeding it is important to see the amount of bleeding she is having.Bleeding during pregnancy is not a good sign if the quantity is more.Please get her to a Gynaecologist for examination and treatment.
