What Causes White Discharge And Delay In Periods?

I had unprotected sex for less than a minute (about 30 seconds) my boyfriend did not ejaculate. He also peed about 20 minutes before. I had brown discharge about 3 days ago but NO spotting lately i've been having white discharge and my period is due in about two days. Is it possible that i'm pregnant?

Hello,

You had unprotected sex but your Bf did not ejaculate in you. You had brown discharge and no spotting. Presently, you are having white discharge and your period is due in 2 days. If you have been taking regular contraceptive pills then you may not be pregnant. But if you miss the periods, wait for a couple of days and get pregnancy test done with the first, morning, mid stream urine or blood tests.

You can also get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get per vaginal examination done to detect bulky uterus. Your treating gynecologist may tell you to get USG (Uterus with fallopian tube) done to detect ectopic pregnancy. Medical conditions other than pregnancy that can cause delay in periods are poor general health condition, anemia, PID, sudden gain or loss of weight, hormonal problems, thyroid dysfunction, etc. You will be accordingly managed and treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
