What Causes Weakness, Dizziness And Nausea While On Lexapro And Klonopin?

My mother, age 77, is currently on Lexapro and klonopin and has been for over a year. She is complaining of weakness, dizzy, being nauseous, she has a rash on her back and wrists, she s complaining of a headache as well. She recently stopped taking Rite Aid s version of Tylenol. Could she be experiencing withdrawal of this medicine? Should see be seen by a dr?

Hi,

Paracetamol group of drug doesn't lead to rash and withdrawal side effects. It can be stopped at any time. Your weakness, dizziness and rash can be related to viral infection. Antihistaminic group of drug can be prescribed for that.

Meanwhile you can investigate with CBC, SGPT, SGOT, urea, creatinine investigations for primary work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami,
