What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Unprotected Intercourse?
Hi, I was so pose to start my period on Feb 24,so I took a prego test and it was neg,the the next day I started my period 25-30. (There usually 7 days but this one lasted 6) my boyfriend and I had in unprotected sex and 2 days later I started to bleed again and I have been off my period for 6 days. Should I be worried?
Hi, If you had the intercourse soon after the period has ended, you are safe as ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle. Also, home pregnancy tests read well 3-7 days after a missed period when performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine. If you have seen the bleeding soon after the intercourse, local causes should be excluded through a local exam by an expert. A pap smear, swab tests of the cervix and vagina and urinalysis are needed. Further management can be done accordingly. Take care.
