Hi,
If you had the intercourse soon after the period has ended, you are safe as ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle. Also, home pregnancy tests read well 3-7 days after a missed period when performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine. If you have seen the bleeding soon after the intercourse, local causes should be excluded through a local exam by an expert. A pap smear, swab tests of the cervix and vagina and urinalysis are needed. Further management can be done accordingly. Take care.
