Hello,

You have an uncomfortable burning feeling at the tip of the penis but not painful. You have got this symptoms after a week of being treated for STI that you had contacted after unprotected sex. Pain or discomfort with urination or ejaculation may also be a sign of an STI. You may need to take a repeat course of the medicines you had been prescribed.

However, the symptoms may also ne due to UTI, kidney stones, urethritis, kidney stones, urethral strictures, prostatitis, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Urologist. Get Urinalysis (R/E and C/S) and repeat STD tests done. You will be accordingly treated with antibiotics/ antivirals. Take care of your hygiene. Avoid using public washrooms.

Avoid any sexual activity or self pleasuring for a couple of days till your symptoms heal. You are suggested to take adequate water and fluids. Avoid multiple partners and do not go for unprotected sex. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
