What Causes Tingling In The Arms And Legs?

Starting yesterday, i have had tingling in my feet and hands. Some of the tingling has crept up my calves and arms. I otherwise feel completely fine and am physically active (I run and play hockey regularly) with no signs of weakness. I take a multi-vitamin which includes B12. I am 42 years old, 5 5 and 140lbs with no history of any nerve issues or diabetes. Should I see a doc right away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Thanks for asking to healthcaremagic.I understand your concern.
Brief answer:Immediate medical attention not needed, but you need to be concerned.
Detailed answer:According to me,the symptoms can be due to nutrient deficiency. If i am your family physician, initially would advise you with multivitamin tablet containing(mainly B6,B12) like neurobion, twice daily for 2-3 weeks. If symptoms doesn't improve or persists in the course of treatment, would evaluate to rule out diabetes, anemia, other nerve disorders etc.
Hope this information helps you.If any questions, happy to answer you.Take care.
