What Causes Throbbing Head, Sore Neck, Light Headedness, Chills And Sore Throat?

I've been sick for past 5 days, it hit me instantly when it first started. Very sick first two days hardly got out of bed then seemed to be gettin better for a couple, now am feelin quite sick again. Throbbing head, sore neck, light headed ness, bad chills, body aches and a very sore throat. Really hurts to swallow. I've lost around 15 lbs over the course of this. I'm a 33 yr old male. I'm thinking h1n1 virus? None of my family has gotten yet.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the common cold and flu but in general the symptoms associated with the flu are more severe.

Based on the severity of the symptoms that you are experiencing, it is quite possible that you do have the flu.
In some persons home treatment with rest, fluid, paracetamol, cough and cold syrups is enough but in others more aggressive treatment is needed.

It would be best for you to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
