Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I will keep a possibility of fungal infection/
Tinea mannum and Tinea pedis i.e fungal infection of the palms and soles.
Peeling Or chaffing is part of Tinea/fungal infection.
A KOH wet preparation made from a small amount of scale scraped from the lesion, to look for fungal elements would be confirmtory.
If KOH is positive for fungal elements, treatment would include both Oral as well as Topical antifungals.
Topical antifungals like Luliconazole,
sertaconazole may be used, twice daily for 4-6 weeks.
Oral antifungals like either
fluconazole Or
Terbinafine are commonly used for superficial fungal infections of the skin; Oral antifungals a must for fungal involvement of palms and soles and need to be given for at least 4-6 weeks.
I suggest you to visit a
dermatologist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate treatment.
