What Causes The Increase In Sugar Levels During Pregnancy And Chances That It Will Stay Life Time?

My wife has given batnocell injection on 31 weeks twin pregency.Doctor told there is a slightly increse in Diabetics till deliver.After that it will decrese gradually post delivery.Can u please help me is there any risk and diabetics wil stay lifetime

Dear sir

Any patient with gestational diabetes, diabetes condition will go off once there is termination of pregnancy.

But most of the times 50% of the patient will develop type 2 diabetes after 5 years.

So there is always a substantial risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
