What Causes The Fluctuations In HIV Combo Anti Test Results?

I had uprotected sex 15.05.2011 than I did test HIV Combo Anti 1+2 i p24 Ag (ECLIA) 11.07.2011 my result was 0.352, I did test again on 12.08.2011 was 0.370, on 12.09. 2011 was 0.392 and 12.10.2011( 5months) test was 0.43, why result is changing? do i have to worry? values are becoming higher.

Hi , what you are talking about are OD values. This is unique for a test using a particular kit and there are different values for a positive , negative and indeterminate result. So these figures(OD Values ) simple can't be interpreted . Whatever your result was --you can match with a value written in the report for a positive result/ negative report. Now you look which way it is falling . If does fall within a range of positive or negative values then it is an indeterminate value , meaning that you have to repeat your tests again.But before testing see a qualified HIV Specialist , who will administer counselling first then test your blood.
They can go for western blotting test in case of an indeterminate result.
