What Causes Swollen And Painful Occipital Nodes?

my friend has swollen occipital nodes and are painful to the touch...she has been dizzy especially morning when first arising, but sometimes during the day as well. Had breast cancer with chemo and radiation therapy 9 years ago. Past two or three weeks has gotten hot, sweaty, dizzy at work, and had to go home and rest quietly. (Sometimes throwing up) Now noticing swollen lymph glands in back of neck. Has dr. appt on tuesday next. Any thoughts???

Hello,

Occipital lymph node enlargement may be seen in scalp infection or oral or ear infection etc. It may be confused with boil or folliculitis etc.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Get examined for oral cavity, ear, nose for infection.
Use antibiotics if symptoms not improved.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
