What Causes Swelling In Glands When I Eat Spicy Food?

Hello I m 21 years old and I have been eating ice off and on for like 5/6 years and my glands usually swell up when I eat something spicy or I eat to fast . Why is that ? Some people tell me to remove them and my sister said I have a disease called thyroidism ... What do you think I should do

The swelling that occurs after the use of spicy foods or with speedy eating may be related to inflammation and trauma to the throat.

The thyroid is a gland in the neck. It releases the thyroid hormone. When there is decreased release, a person has hypothyroidism and if there is increased release- hyperthyroidism.

It is not likely that your symptoms are related to either but a blood test to check thyroid hormone levels would determine this.
