What Causes Sudden Rise In The Heart Rate And Dizziness?

I am a 38-year-old female I weigh about 150 pounds about 45 minutes ago I experienced rapid heartbeat with dizziness nausea and a metallic taste in my mouth also severe confusion. About 15 minutes ago I experienced about 10 seconds of another episode of heart palpitations that had a metallic taste in my mouth I m shaky and my sinuses seem to be stuffed up I have a slight headache and and slight chest pain during the palpitations the chest pain is subsiding.

Common causes of racing heart are fear, stress or anxiety, strenuous exercise, caffeine and nicotine. Occasionally heart palpitations can be a sign of a serious health problem, such as an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) or an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia).
Advice
1.     Take rest and avoid all sorts of strenuous activity
2.     Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol and smoking
3.     You can take alprazolam per oral at bed time for 7 days
4.     Measure your blood pressure regularly
5.     Investigation
a.     ECG
b.     Hemoglobin percentage
c.     Treadmill test
d.     Blood sugar (F & PP)
e.     Fasting lipid profile
Consult a cardiologist with reports of above tests.
