What Causes Stretch Marks On A Child's Back?

stretch marks on kids back
hi my child is 13. he is 5ft 10. not over weight and very fit. last year he got stretch marks on his back they seem to be getting worse and not fading. i showed them to the doc last June he said they would go away but they seem to be getting worse. Is this normal are they just marks or could it be something else?

Thanks for the query.
Your children most likely have stretch marks because they are going through their growth spurts. Such stretch marks are most commonly seen on the outer thighs and the back and buttocks.
Somtime it may be due to steroid use, cushing syndrom also.
