Symptoms: Began with waking up with severe stiff neck at base of skull. Over next few days, pain throughout body- mostly in legs. Fronts of legs- thighs and below knees. Back of knees felt like they wanted to cramp when asleep. woke up feeling worse than when went to bed. Muscles- not nerves. Over time, at different times, pain in arms, hands, ribs, shoulders, hips. Neck stayed sore for a long time, on and off. Great difficulty in going from sitting to standing position. Difficulty walking. Cannot stand for any length of time. infection at top of leg, full dose (10days) of sulpha drug, then doxycylene, prednisone beginning next. Feet do no hurt, no nausea, headaches or dizziness. tests negative for west nile virus, myasthenia gravis, magnesium level. Complete blood panels run- everything comes back fine. This began mid September and is still going on. Any ideas?
