What Causes Sores Starting From Mouth Till Pharynx?
doctor,what are differentials for sore in mouth that start from lip and expends down the mouth to pharynx........??? i have a pationt with this complain and i am thinking of herpes,steven jhonsn syndrome,vitamin deficiency.can you plz guide me in a better way ?? thanks

Hi, aphthous stomatitis or Steven Johnson both can produce such symptoms but in case of Steven Johnson some drug intake history is usually there. Local application of Triamcinolone gel along with B complex capsules and hexidine mouth wash should help in gradual resolution of the symptoms. Herpes ulcers are on one half/side of oral cavity and not on both sides of oral cavity, and very painful. If it is so, tablet valcivir 1 gram thrice daily along with pain killers will be required.
