What Causes Soreness Of Breasts And Nausea With History Of Irregular Menstruation?

I am a 40 year old femal with irregular periods I had a normal period the first week of June, and spotted for one day in July. Never use any type of birth control, within the last 2 days my breast have become sore and I ve been told that they look fuller and this morning I began to be nauseous. Took a pregnancy test and it was negative. What could be going on.

Hi,

At your age (40), pressure breasts could be due to fluctuating hormones when female is nearing menopause, or because of an infection, abscess, cyst, oral contraceptives, antidepressants.

In best interest, it is wise to consult a gynecologist for a Mammogram [to examine the breast for diagnosis and screening].

PS. Carcinoma of the breast if detected early is completely curable, particularly in postmenopausal women, and if it comes normal only thereafter lifestyle changes, alternative medicines and medications [HRT], can be discussed.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
