My daughter has had a few white spots on her uvula along with a sore throat. No spots on her tonsils, no fever but now some raised bumps on her tongue which are similar to strawberry tongue but not as bad. Hoarse voice and no cough. This is going on a week . Strep culture is negative
Hi. The white spots on the uvula can be due to developing aphthous ulcers. The raised bumps on the tongue can be due to inflammatory of the lingual tonsils. The hoarse voice is most probably due to laryngitis. All these symptoms and sign scan be due Pharyngitis. As this is for about a week your daughter should be treated with proper antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, probiotics. She should have a ''voice-rest'', take steam inhalations too.
