General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your symptoms of sore throat for 6 weeks and now faster breathing with difficulty in breathing, had been to the Doctors three times and got throat swab for strep but the tests came back negative.
All your history indicate the following:
There is a chronic condition called granular pharyngitis.
Allergic to something.
May be GERD causing pharyngitis that continued for so long.
Allergic problems might have caused asthma.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation and examination.
Tests of blood and X-ray or CT scan for sinuses as this being one of hte original cause of your symptoms.
X-ray Chest to rule out any pathology in chest that is causing breathlessness.
All these thing will lead to a proper diagnosis and thus a proper management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
