Hello!
I have been through your question.
Related your concern I think this is viral situation, maybe from Coxsackie Virus but to say this need more investigation (like if you have red bumps in mouth and foot?). Coxsackie virus usually causes hand, foot, mouth disease and a lot of people are coming in with it but normally only kids like six months to five years used to get it but now we are seeing older children and even adults getting it too. So, if you have a
fever, a
sore throat and red bumps in the hands and feet usually we can think for coxsackievirus. What I suggest usually in this situation is to do a detailed physical examination by an Infectious disease specialist, do full blood count, transaminases/bilirubin( to exclude a
hepatitis from coxsackievirus) lab test for coxsackievirus to define better the diagnosis and making a differential diagnosis as well. Usually coxsackie virus infection resolves in about 10 days with no scarring and there is no specific treatment or
vaccine available for it but you can use
ibuprofen for fever and pain, saline gargles for sore throat, and drink a lot of water and take antacids (like
maalox) .
I hope my answer help you.
I wish you a quick recovery.
