Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been to 2 different ERs and 3 dr. Appts. Been tested for strep, std s and they came back negative. 6 wks I have been dealing with white on both tonsils that mostly can be scraped off but comes back. It is now going good down my throat. No fever but throat is sore and tonsils are very swollen. No one seems to have any answers. I am stressed and fed up :(
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore and swollen tonsils which seems to be a bacterial infection due to which tonsils and causing tonsillitis. You seems to have reinfection due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Do warm saline gargles. - Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate. -Avoid fried, oily food and cold carbonated beverages. -Take vitamin C supplement for quick recovery.
You should consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out other conditions. Doctor may order blood test and throat swab test to confirm diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin for around 10 days.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
