Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
It is difficult to ascertain what you are describing without being able to examine you, but there are a few possibilities of what you are looking at.
If the hole is in the center below your
clitoris, you are likely looking at your
urethra, which is the opening where your urine comes out. You also have two tiny holes on either side of your urethra called the paraurethral glands, which are difficult for anyone but a gynecologist to see.
Secondly, you may have a hole in your
hymen that was left when you lost your virginity. No one's hymen heals the same way after it is ruptured, and you may have a scar that healed with a small hole in the middle, which is not harmful. If you have given birth, your labia or hymen can heal that way from the delivery as well.
Ultimately, you really need a physician to look at the area to make a definitive diagnosis, but in the meantime, I want to reassure you that your symptoms are not due to an
STD. If that area gets chafed when you have intercourse, using an external lubricant can ease your discomfort.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
