What Causes Small Blisters On Hands, Wrists And Feet?

My daughter has developed what looks like small blisters on her hands and wrists and she has a few on her feet. I have checked the top of the inside of her mouth and she has a couple of small red marks. She does not appear to have a temperature. I am wondering if this may be hand foot & mouth?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, it is quite possible that it is hand, foot and mouth disease based on your description.

This is a common contagious viral infection so she would not be able to go to school or nursery for a bit if she attends one of these.
It can spread for about a week after symptoms start.

It is spread by contact with blister, stool or droplets from coughing/sneezing.

I hope this helps
