What Causes Skipping Of Heart Beat While Sleeping?
It feels like my heart skips a beat or i stop breathing when falling asleep or I'm jolted awake and gaining weight (always been thin) periods have always been regular but now coming early. Have trouble falling asleep and always wake up tired. Age is 42 , female, never had children. What could be wrong?

with the above given history i would suggest you to get your thyroid checked.... do a routine blood test( haemoglobin).... if these are normal consult a OBGYN for your menses problem...
