General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It is not advisable to give antihistamines every day and at the same time keep having the medication that causes allergic reaction. I believe that you should reconsider some other medication as an alternative for rifampicin. Also topical antihistamines may be more efficient and have less systemic negative effects. These are Synopen cream for example. If there will be still rash, then some other allergen may be present.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
