What Causes Severe Vaginal Pain During Intercourse?

First and foremost ...I don t ride a bike nor horse riding...I hardly exercise tooo. To my point... tried having sex with my boyfriend.. upon his insertion it really hurts plus I don t know if he really went inside. But afterwards my highs in between my legs hurt and my waistterrified and I was shaking . There was actually no blood stain thou..was very terrified and scared...my heart beat fast too. Why is that please and does it mean my Hymen has been broken?? I can t really put my finger there cause I get terrified anytime I try.

Hello dear
Understand you concern
Vaginal pain after intercourse is most common complaints among girls.
In majority case it is not serious and will go on its own.

Following are the causes of pain and bleeding after intercourse.
I think Hymen rupture is the most common cause in your case.
Other cause are
1. Trauma to vaginal wall (If penetration without lubrication)
2. Atrophic vaginitis due to lower estrogen levels
3. Infections in the vagina
4. Bleeding from cervix (As it contain superficial blood vessels)
Take following advice
1. It will goes its own with in 4-5 days
2. Tablet meftal spas two times a day till pain is there.
3. Use lubricants while sex.

Do sex in relaxation.
You should let go penis inside very slowly with lots of lubrication, once you feel pain, wait for sometime and then proceeds.
It will decrease after 4-5 sexual intercourse as resistance is decreased.

Your partner should be gentle, and get you in the mood in order to increase natural lubrication.
Do not keep the intercourse for a long time, since that will not only rub off the lubricants, it will also cause friction to the surrounding tissue.
While regular intercourse will reduce the incidence of bleeding, avoid frequent intercourse (more than once) in a single day.
Maintain hygiene in pelvic area.
Wash pelvic area with warm salted water to reduce infection and inflammation.
But if you constantly have bleeding from the vagina, or after every intercourse, it is better to consult a doctor as it could be symptoms of something more serious

Hope this may help you.

Wish you good health.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
