What Causes Severe Pain On Feet?

My friend is experiencing excrucutiating pain only on the tops of her feet. They are also feeling extremely hot. They are not swollen or red. She did not injure them. The pain just started this a.m. and it is getting unbearable. What do you think is causing this to happen?

Hello,

The first thing to check out in such cases is the uric acid levels. If the lab report suggests that uric acid levels are high then this has to be controlled by medication and foot exercises.

If the test turns out negative then it's a nerve entrapment in the lumbar spine. And doing core stability, spinal extensor muscle strengthening exercises and lower limb as a while will help reduce the pain.

In medicine, we have to keep a differential diagnosis and then come to diagnosis to help rule out the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
