What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Tubal Ligation?

Hi, I had a tubal legation and have been diagnosed with severe endometriosis. I do not get my period anymore, but have period cramps almost everyday and feel sharp shooting pain where I cannot move a few times a month on my lower left or right abdominal region. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello,

The tubal ligation protects you from pregnancy because is a permanent contraception method. It doesn't change endometriosis.

Your ovaries are still active producing hormones which make you have cycles and also endometriosis to be active.

Maybe you need to talk to a doctor for laparoscopic surgery of endometriosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
