What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest After A Spider Bite?
My nieces husband has been hospitalized several times in the last week He is 35 non smoker and very fit He had a sudden onset of chest pain which progressed to muscle pain in hands and feet knees Abs then a couple days later neck pain the still have not gotten test back for lymes or tetnus He has had high blood pressure and it would spike when he got out of bed His blood work was normal except a couple days after admittance his WBC count went up BTW at one point he thought maybe he had been bitten by a spider we do have black widow spiders here symptoms start last Sunday night
Since there is high WBC it is related to general infection but it is not related to a spider bite. But you have to start a course of antibiotics as your WBC is high. It is nothing to do with lime disease. Then you have to see if there are stings in the site of bite. If found then stings should be removed. Levocetirizine and for pain tablet paracetamol can also be started.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash,
Ophthalmologist
