What Causes Severe Pain In The Center Of Scalp?

I have severe pain in the center of my scalp most of the time especially after I wear a ponytail. Also my scalp hurts when I move my hair,stroke it, or even run my fingers through it. I ve tried oils to soothe the scalp but nothing works anymore so I just deal with the daily pain. Please help.

Well come to HCM
This could be due to some infection of hair root and this could be fungal infection with dandruff, I would suggest the following medicine for this, avoid any hair oil and strong shampoo,
1) Povidone Iodine shampoo apply this on whole scalp prior to bath and leave it there for half an hour, for at lease a week, this would be fine soon take care, have a nice day.
