What Causes Severe Muscle Cramps In Upper Abdomen With Nausea And Vomiting?

I have had severe muscle cramps in my upper abdomen for 3 days accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Today I am only nauseas but I did notice what appears to be a bite mark of some sort on my abdomen. We do have brown widow spiders around here and it would explain my symptoms. My question is....if it s been 3 days since the bite and my symptoms seem to be getting better is it necessary for me to be seen?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Seemingly due to the inflammatory response of the body after the spider bite.

If the intensity is lesser than the initial episode, dietary precautions with supportive proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole and analgesic as Tylenol or else will support great before reaching to the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
