What Causes Severe Migraine, Vomiting And Nausea?

Yesterday I woke up witha severe migraine. I then began vomiting and was very nauseous. I ve had migraines but never this bad. This lasted about 12 hrs. I woke up today feeling fine. Was the vomiting and nausea the migraine or was it a bug. My stomach never hurt and I did not have diarrea.
