What Causes Severe Heartburn With Difficulty In Swallowing?

I have had severe heartburn for over ten years now. I even had my gall bladder out. That didn't help. I am on a prescription for a suspected ulcer and also I take Zantac. I still get heartburn pretty bad and recently developed a new issue where I have excess phlegm throughout the day that's getting so bad I'm having trouble talking sometimes, eating food and swallowing. I have to constantly attempt to spit it out but it is very difficult and gets stuck. Eventually when it comes out it, usually is a glob of clumpy mucous with a reddish brown color to it. I do have a great deal of stress in my life if that matters.

stricture , tumors - lax oesophageal sphincture - hiatus hernia - laryngeal
pancreas , liver , peri ampullary disorders - stress & others .
* Diagnostic part involve many parameters as thorough history , physical
examination , indirect laryngoscopy , upper GI Endoscopy - biopsy of any
suspicious lesion - ultrasound of abdomen & pelvis - Barium studies and
CT / MRI in highly selective cases
