Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am not sure if I should try to wait for my office visit or seek emergency care. In the middle of the night wed into thurs I went to roll over in bed barely awake & I became very dizzy everything just spun. It did that a few more times before & when I woke up at 6am. It also happened a few times during the day & last night again. Right now I am feeling a little light headed.
hi sir/mam,usually dizziness is a symptom of many conditions like the following : 1)vertigo caused by inner ear labyrinth hypersensitivity.treatment is labyrinthine sedatives like tab.vertin 2)vertebrobasilar transient ischemia. 3)multiple sclerosis 4)benign paroxysmal positional vertigo 5)benign or malignant neoplasms of posterior fossa.
I would like to stress upon the importance of a detailed neurological examination that includes examination of cranial nerves and for any muscle weakness by a neurologist.if necessary,he may order for an MRI brain to evaluate the cause.only with specific diagnosis, appropriate treatment can be initiated.hope my answer clears your doubt.any further queries are always welcome with pleasure.please do write to us.thank you.wish you and your family a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year 2018.take care.bye.
