What Causes Severe Dizziness And Nausea?

Today, I experienced extreme dizziness. I could not focus. The room was spinning. When I tried to get out of the chair, I fell right back in the chair. This led to feeling nauseasous Also my body felt like electricity was running through it. This lasted for about 4 to 5 hours. THen I experienced a bad headache. What would be some causes?

I can understand your concern.
Sudden onset dizziness, nausea, headache etc are commonly seen with brain related diseases.
Common causes for these symptoms are
1. Meningitis (brain infection)
2. Transient ischemic attack (TIA)
3. Brain heamorrhage
4. Hydrocephalus.
So better to consult neurologist and get done MRI brain to diagnose these diseases.
