What Causes Sensitivity To Light During The Healing Of Shingles On Eye?

I am recovering from shingles. I had it in my eye pretty bad. I have been to the eye doctor many times as I am getting better, and last week they took me off all medication. Each of the checkups showed no signs of glaucoma and only minimal scarring outside my field of vision. It is about 6 days from my last doctors visit, and I am noticing that I have a slight halo around bright objects. My question is, is this just part of the healing process, or should I go back to my eye doctor again?

There are two different things going together. Shingles affects your corneal nerves along with corneal layers which are responsible for your light sensitivity. You need to give time may be weeks for healing to complete. Secondly if infection was bad enough to leave opacities on your cornea then light scatters whenever you try to look at things while light falls on cornea. If second is the cause then your problem might persists.
