What Causes Runny Nose And Throat Pain While Swallowing?

I have a pain on the right side of my throat when i swallow and when i talk. It all started about 1-2 months ago when I was sick. I still have a runny nose (post nasal drip) & it causes me to cough. Sometimes I can taste blood. I can see the blood sometimes when i spit.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to post nasal drip. I suggest using decongestant such as Dexometorphan. I also suggest to drink liquids. I recommend using a throat spray for antibacterial properties.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
