What Causes Rise In Heart Rate, blurred Vision And Frequent Urination?

I am 42/female. In the last two weeks I ve been noticing my heart racing, even breathing exercises do not help. Today my vision has been very blurry and when I ve urinated it has been a bright mellow yellow coor. I ve always (the last 3-4 years) been a frequent urinator. I go probably 1-2 an hour. The blurry vision (today) and rapid heartbeats are worring me.Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are a 42 yr female and are experiencing increased heart rate, frequent urination and blurring of vision. Palpitations associated with blurring visions is commonly due to panic disorder, trial fibrillation, transient ischemic attack (TIA), type 2 diabetes (poorly controlled diabetes causes frequent urination), etc.

Other medical conditions that may cause the symptoms are low blood volume, hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, thyroid dysfunction, etc. Since you are in peri-menopausal phase you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist / GP, get routine blood works, required tests and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing symptoms. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
