What Causes Ringing Sound In The Ear That Was Hurt With A Q-tip?

I poked part of ear canal, possibly ear drum with q-tip that had part of the cotton on one end missing. Doesn't hurt, but I can hear ringing in my ear when pressed up against pillow at night. I also have a minor scab just at the opening of my ear canal. Could my hearing be picking up the faint sounds of scab healing?

Hello

Well. yes it is likely that you are picking up the healing process ,as during healing , the vascularity of the ear drum will increase and this may cause a ringing sensation in your ear. Dont worry as this will settle down in a few days. Keep the ear dry and please dont use q tips.
Thanks
