What Causes Restlessness During Night, With Breathing Issues In Pregnant Woman?

Hi Doc, Im almost 16 wks pregnant. I have very restless legs every evening but I also had a very restless night last night tossing and turning and having to move all my muscles. I feel quite breathless today, like I can t fill my lungs with enough air. Is this ok? What is the cause? and how can I get better sleep at night? Thanking you kindly.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Cramps in the legs, especially the calf muscles are common in pregnancy .
However, breathlessness and inappropriate respiration are not common in pregnancy, and should be properly evaluated by a physician.
You may need to see a cardiologist for proper evaluation, investigations including ECG and echo and get the further management accordingly.
