What Causes Red Itchy Bumps On The Thighs With History Of Vasculitis?

I have had a past history of vasculitis and now have red itchy bumps on my upper inner thighs and on my buttocks especially inner part. My dermatologist said it was a fungal infection cause I am susceptible to them since I have U.C. and am now on Humira. The cream was tried for 2 weeks and I still suffer from the itchy bumps and she said to try taking Zyrtec at night and if no better she will have to do a biopsy in a few days. Does this make sense.

Hi.
As per your case history you are probably having vasculitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, colchicine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
