What Causes Red And Hard Bumps All Over The Arms And Neck?
I have small red, hard bite like bumps all over my arms and neck. Some of them have puss in them. I did go out of town and stayed in a condo however i was there a week then returned home on sat night and the bumps did not appear till wed morning. I was scared they were bed bugs but no one else who stayed at the condo has them.
Red and hard bumps all over the arms and neck which is very common due to blockage of sebaceous glands leading to folliculitis or boils. It can also occur due to allergic reaction.I would suggest you to: - Keep this area clean and dry. - Avoid touching or pricking rashes - Apply cream containing azelaic acid - Apply vitamin C serum at night. - Apply ice pack on rashes 2-3 times a day.
If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test and will start treatment accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
