What Causes Recurring Lumps On The Scalp?

Hi, I get a small soft lumps on my skull. It covers actually full skull. Its comes and goes.. If i get such lump today night, morning when i wake up its gone. Its painless. But its comes n goes in few weeks gap.. So i was a bit concerned. Bcoz if i think to go to dr next day, but the lump is gone.. Kindly help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain small painless bumps on scalp that comes and goes can be due to causes like Contact dermatitis leading to some sort of allergic reaction..
Other causes of bumps on scalp can be folliculitis, sebaceous cysts,acne,hives etc..
The exact cause can be ruled out only after a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like microscopic examination of scrapings from the bumps, biopsy, blood tests etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can decide treatment depending upon cause..
As they are painless no supportive treatment is needed as of now and should take only treatment as per cause..
You can however take anti allergics like Levocetrizine to resolve the bumps soon..
Maintain cleanliness of scalp..
Avoid scratching the bumps to prevent infection..
