What Causes Recurrent Pain In The Lower Legs?

I have reocurring pain in the back part of my leg, just below the knee. It seems like a nerve pain as it is extreme but only last a few seconds......and then I am normal again. This morning this pain reoccured about every 1-2 minutes. After about 5 bouts with it, it went away and nothing more today.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Peripheral neuropathy, vascular causes, anemia, muscle strain, electrolyte imbalance etc might be the reason

For that your physical examination and neurological examination first should be done..
Investigation can be done with ESR estimation and serum electrolyte and vitamin B12 estimation...
HB estimation also should be done..

Avoid smoking if having habit

Take healthy and balanced diet and cause specific treatment should be given...

If vascular causes suspected than colour doppler can be done for that if needed

Consult physician for examination and accordingly further work up planned

Take care

Hope your concern solved
