What Causes Rashes On The Neck, Head, Back And Arms?

I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something today. I have a rash around my neck, head, back and arms. I went to the dr this morning and they gave me a shot of prednisone. And gave me pred pills to take. He said it was an allergic reaction to something. But who knows what to? That was this morning. It is 6 pm now and the rash is back with a vengeance. Could it be something else?

Hi,

Mostly the only rash on neck and arms suggest something allergic. If you have fever, pain etc then we have to rule out something else. Mostly sting bite or bad food ingestions leads to a rash.

Take tablet Cetirizine and Chlorpheniramine twice a day for 3 days. This will help you and you may not need to take prednisolone shots.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
