What Causes Rashes And Soreness On The Penis After Having Sex?

Hi, I really need to get some straight answers on this given what I have read thus far on it. My wife had cause to have a hysterectomy and a bladder sling surgery due to a prolapse. My wife is 36. This is just t give a bit of history. The key reason I am writing is over the past few months it has been pretty sore after sex to the point of blistering of my penis. A lubricant has helped some but in addition to that I started noticing rash and soreness on my penis. This, based on my research, is consistent with candida. My question is what would be the appropriate treatment to properly eradicate this from both of us as I believe it may have gone undetected for far too long?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Rashes with soreness and itching with white curdy discharges from the affected area are suggestive of candidiasis that is fungal infection. Treatment is tablet Fluconazole oral and ointment containing Miconazole. Ointment is sufficient in mild cases. If you are having painful blisters with small vesicles its suggestive of herpes infection and treatment is acyclovir tablets. And ointment. Visit a doctor for proper prescription and these drugs need proper assessment too. For your illness its necessary to treat your wife as well, she may have asymptomatic source of infection.
