What Causes Rash On Neck, chest And Face After A Fever?

Hi, my six month old had a fever for about two and a half days about three days ago. Justt his morning I noticed a rash on his neck and chest, and slightly on his face. It has spread to the rest of his body and I can even see it faintly on his scalp. It doesnt seem to be itchy, just small flat red spots, somewhat blotchy in appearance. Is this a serious condition, or will it pass on its own? Any idea what it is?

hi,
Thank you for your query, i understand your concern.
Appearance of rash after fever in a six month old could mean measles.
i suggest you to consult with your pediatrician and get the relevant blood tests done to diagnose this.
If its measles it could mean a serious thing if left untreated and could cause complications.
Hope this helps.
