What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding?

My period has been normal up until high school then i bled for 15 months straight. I went to the gynecologist and she gave me birth control to regulate my period but it stopped completely. And it just recently started again but it stops and starts through each month. I think it might be (pcos).

Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. It will tell you if you are having any thyroid disorder or polycystic ovarian syndrome. If any abnormality is there, it can be treated.
You may need some hormonal treatment for that. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
