What Causes Prolonged And Light Menstrual Bleeding?

Please I had an hsg scan last month, I didn't wait for 3-4 days before having sex with my husband. My period came 3 days late and it was brown colour at first and later turned to the normal period color. The period was light and it lasted for 6 days instead of the normal 3days. What could be the cause? Is it possible that I'm pregnant since I had sex a day after the hsg scan?

Hello,

Slight bleeding is quite common after procedures like HSG and hysteroscopy. It is due to minor abarasions developing at the time of procedures and it give rise to bloody discharge later. Nothing much to worry as it will settle by it own even with out treatment. You can go for a urine pregnancy test to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.
