Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of Acid reflux or GERD. However, it can be due to esophageal stricture or esophagitis. You can take Antacids and PPI's for relieve. Avoid constipation. Take laxatives at bed time. Stay well hydrated, avoid fried food, cut on spicy oily junk food. If obese reduce weight and do regular exercises. Avoid sedentary lifestyle.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP & get barium swallow test and upper GI endoscopy done to detect any esophageal stricture. Strictures are commonly treated by stent placement or dilatation. Take small meals and avoid taking food at least three hours before bed time.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
